Memorial Day in Mill Valley 2013 -
This is how the firefighters do a pancake breakfast. See the guy in the background with the green bucket? Yeah, that would be how a firefighter mixes pancake batter--with a paint mixer...in a green bucket.
The secret of this annual breakfast must be mixing the pancake batter in a green bucket with a paint mixer, because as far as pancake breakfasts go, this one is purdy good. Pancakes, eggs, sausage and OJ.
and fire engines to explore.
We tried to explain to Isabella why we celebrate Memorial Day, but it was quickly forgotten as vast amounts of candy were thrown into the crowd from the floats traveling down Miller Ave during the parade. Honestly, Memorial Day has become more like Halloween II.
The kids even wear costumes and compare their candy stashes.
Oh, yes, and did I mention there's a carnival?
There was no stopping Isabella from trying every ride she could (within height requirements). This year she added a Ferris Wheel ride and bumper cars to her repetoire of rides.
The rest of us tried to keep up with her--just like Halloween.
