Father's Day

Our Father's Day celebration started with a sleepover at Nana and Papa's house on Friday night. Saturday morning we made our *crisp* departure at 9:07 sharp, PA time (Paul Accampo-time) to board the ferry to San Francisco. Isabella, wearing her custom made sun visor, was beyond excited.
Exploration of the ferry boat began at approximately the second after departure.
Matthew loved the wind. So happy to out in the fresh, salty air.
Then, suddenly a somber moment as we cruised passed San Quentin, the prisoners out in the yard for their daily exercise.
But then it was back to feeling the wind! (Here's Matthew's Leonardo DiCaprio-Titanic-My Heart will go on-impression)
We walked from the ferry building to Pier 15 and a half to visit the all-new Exploratorium!!  Super cool.
Three little bears sitting in chairs.
Papa and Daddy helped Isabella build a motorized scribble machine in the Tinkering Center.  This could possibly be the next installment of My Dad the Engineer, but, no,  I won't. It was the quintessential Papa/Daddy/Isabella Father's Day craft.
And then it was on to so many other fun exhibits.
What?! We taught her long ago never to drink water from a toilet, but what if the toilet is a water fountain??  You decide.

We *heart* the Exploratorium.

My favorite moment of the whole Father's Day-ferry-ride-Exploratorium-sleep-over-weekend, however, happened on Friday night, when Dad, Mom, Mark, Isabella and I followed Matthew up the stairs (his new talent) at my parents' house and crammed ourselves onto the landing where we started telling stories about gullible gophers and worms that burp, and sang songs about bananas.  That's the good life. :)
