Carnival!

This is Sun Bread. It has nothing to do with the carnival, but I thought I'd post a picture of this great work of bread art. We got the recipe from Isa's preschool. It tasted awful, but sure was fun to make. On to the carnival...
Each May, my school hosts a big fundraiser carnival, and each year it just gets more fun because Isabella is bigger and can enjoy more things.
It was a little overwhelming for Matthew, so Mark sat with him in the shade, to ease him into the chaos. After some time and some gourmet mac n' cheese from a food truck, he was just fine.
Isabella arrived in shorts, a t-shirt, flip flops and a hat. The flip-flops and hat were quickly discarded--somewhere on the field.
The bouncy houses and slides were Isa's favorite. Mark and I marveled at her lack of fear--she climbed up those huge things, disappeared for a while, and then all of the sudden would reappear rolling down giant slides with a huge smile on her face.
Her last activity of the evening, just before the carnival closed was to get her face painted--something she's never done before. She chose to have a dolphin painted on her cheek.
