This Ain't Your Mama's Hike

A bunch of us moms got together with our kids and hiked Westwood Hills. This was a pretty fun outing, I must say. The kids' ages ranged from 2 months old to seven years. And we took those kids hiking! (Or maybe they took us hiking.)
Scarlett and Isa were in hot pursuit of treasure--armed with a giant magnifying glass and a bug catcher.
I think they mostly fought over who got to hold the magnifying glass.

We hiked ourselves up to the highest point of the hills, which kind of felt like we were on top of the world. The views were beautiful.
On our descent, we stopped at the Climbing Tree.
And then the real fun happened.
The path got pretty steep and wooded and narrow. We had to help the little ones down. The bigger ones slid down on their bottoms and then charged into the open valley when they got close to the bottom.
They had the time of their lives.
